Data Mover doesn't work...

Hi,

I'm trying to transfer contacts and other info from my N95 to my Samsung i8510, but the "Switch" application doesn't work on the i8510.

On receiving the "data mover.sis" file from the N95, my i8510 refuses to open it, saying its not comaptible.

Anyone know of a work around or alternative application i can use? Failing that, i'll go via the PC transfer route.

This fails because Nokia have signed the transfer application to ONLY work on Nokia branded handsets. (the i8510 doesn't have the correct certificate)

Use PC-Suite. The Samsung one is merely a re-branded Nokia one and works in the same way.

To do it in PC suite you seem to need to backup N95 to outlook etc with Nokia PC Suite, then sync back from outlook to i8510 with Samsung PC Suite

I used PC Suite in the end... didn;t have to go through any special approach though. Opened nokia pc suite, backed up nokia contacts and calendar entries... Opened samsung pc "studio", restored from nokia backups... job done...
