Nokia 5700 Xpress Music Issue

Didn't know in which section to post this so I decided to do it here, since I'm an N95 user. My friend has the 5700 Xpress Music and it just won't turn on. the screen lights up (white) and then it just shuts off. Do you guys think it's software related or hardware. The phone has not been dropped/abused. It all of a sudden started going crazy

Any input on this matter is appreciated. Thanks !

PS: I have the disc ready, do you think I should run a software install first and go from there ?

Nope, never wet, never updated. And the disc I mentioned won't work.

if it's under warranty then i would go back to network provider or a nokia service point and see what they can do.

Yeah, I guess that would be the right thing to do. I will try to run the nokia software updater later on today. If that fails, we'll return the phone and hope they fix it. Thanks for your input !
