Phone Handset The sun in the N95's 8GB lens + wobbly slider question...

Hey, just curious, I just got the n95-2 and was wondering if the sun affects the open lens in any way. For example if you flip the camera lens up to the sun for like 5-10 seconds, will anything happen or will the lens defect/damage in any way?

Or does the little glass window protect it?

Thanks.

Another question, I got one of those semi-wobbly n95-2's, should I worry? I mean when it's closed there's a slight wobble on the left and right sides. Does everyone have this? Or should I return it?

my N95 8GB also a "slight" wobble...which is just unacceptable for this flagship device...Nokia need to learn to stop making their high-end phones from fisher price plastic crap...

Well I would send it back, though admittedly with the so called "wobbly slider" I have sent mine back to O2 and I will be on my 8th phone tomorrow.....

What pissed me off is I love the phone, there is no other on the market which can do what it can. So I have no choice but to stick with it :(

the first day with my n95 8GB, i just opened up the phone and fixed the slider. the thing is so tight now its incredible. sure it sucks to do to a new phone and its not acceptable from nokia. but if you just do this simple 5 minute trick, your satisfaction with the phone will go up 100%. and you wont complain to yourself every time you open the phone. it will just be perfect.

there is a youtube video, but i didnt follow that exactly.

i just popped off the back black cover, and used the T6 torx screw driver to remove the 3 tiny screws. pop off the plastic/nylon rail, which is actually the problem maker. i cut out 3 tiny strips of black electrical tape, and put them on the BOTTOM of the slider rail, not the top like shown in the video. i actually doubled up, so i did 2 layers on each of the 3 small sections of tape under the rail. fiddle around to get the rail back in there, then screw on the metal rail, and pop the back on.

the first time i actually did this, i added a lot of tape, and when i put it back together, i couldnt even open the slider at all! it was so tight it was locked closed. so the happy medium is 2 layers of tape on each little section. smooooooth as butter and compeltely solid.
