I don't know of any such software, but you can withhold your number manually by going to Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Call -> Send my caller ID.

With Vodafone UK you can dial 141 before the number and it won't send your caller ID. May work with other countries and networks as well.
If it works, just add 141 to the begining of the number in your contacts.

I seem to remember something called blacklister or summat like that when I had an N80... nto sure if that does something similar?!?!
EDIT>> I was talking about this but I think its aimed at doing other things to the call than what you want to do.
EDIT2 >> Depending on what network you are on you can, as mentioned, prefix dial for the ones you dont want to see your number.

I think I'll get a copy as I sometimes have problems with nuisance calls. I had a program on my 6600 and N70 called Blacklist which would block calls for me too, but the person calling would hear the phone ring once first before it went to answerphone.
Has anyone got this new software that kontraband mentioned and know whether the same happens to that too?

Actually I have my answer now. I feel so silly.
I downloaded a 15 day trial of the program from the page you provided a link to, called it by withholding my number with my landline, and all I heard was a click and then my voicemail.
In future I'll check for trials of software before asking questions
