I have my 8GB N95. Its very nice. I am happy with it. Its much faster and i had afew crashes with the browser so far. seems to just not be that optimised overall but running pretty well. Real test is when i install loads of software.

Is it on contract or did you just buy it outright?

My N95 8GB is sim free. First time i ever got a sim free phone.
I really like it. It seems fast with apps installed. Still havent put everything on and i am going to test various email apps for 10 minute checking etc. and see how it goes. N95 used to chug on some apps especially when i used try and make a phone call and it owuld connect to email int he background (native built in email app was ok but only has 30 min checking and no html).

Hi,
I am interesting in the new N95 8GB as well
Can you please inform about the battery life performance?
How long can it last with this usage pattern :
- Call time for about 30 minutes a day
- No data connection at all
The phone will be used by my wife and she does not use internet , etc. But she likes N95 because it is a sexy phone.
However, she hates bad battery performance and she is using an old nokia (flip, I dont know which one) and the battery is bad (charge every 2 - 3 days, used only for calling).
Btw, can you use TomTom with external BT GPS? I think so yes ...
Thanks.

i'd like some input about this as well. i currently own an n95-1 and i am tired of my phone resetting itself while i'm browsing the web, now i'm stuck and i can't decide which one to get, the n95 8bg or n95-3 us 3g version. they both have basically what i need, better RAM and better battery( i'm using two batts for my n95 classic which i don't mind at all but still a good upgrade). what i can't decide on are my whims.
if i go with the 8gb, i get the bigger screen and the better build, but i lose my micro sd slot.
if i go with the us version, i get to keep the my micro sd slot, possibly use the 3g speed ( i only use data for emails and im anyway and am still using EDGE which is ok), but i compromise the sleek black look (big screen and build quality)
does this really come down to brains vs braun? function vs. fashion?

well N95 8GB has better battery than standard N95 but i wouldnt say its 2-3 days good. I still charge every day. Its just much nicer than the standard N95.

I have just got the N95 8gb; Havent suffered any problems reported by many of my friends with the N95 classic. Seems very quick, even when multi tasking and the best thing of all.. no need for seperate satnav, iPod or Archos. Has anyone used the tv cable yet? I have got it hooked up to my HDTV an although the graphics are slightly pixelated, watching videos or just using the interface is very useable.
Anyone worked out how to use the barcode reader?

Yeah its great. I have developed a problem with Maps crashing as it loads up but i think the new firmware should fix this. Shame the asian fw isnt out yet.
Barcode readers reads codes made for it. Try someof the nokia blogs codes. They are square instaed of lines.
