emulate s40? for use with bluetooth handsfree (E50)

Excellent forum I found here!
I have a Nokia E50, that I use with my bluetooth handsfree system in my Seat Altea.
I can receive and send calls fine, however the phonebook and other functions don't work. It only works with S40 series mobile..
My question goes towards: Is there some kind of applet/applet that can emulate s40 on my nokia? Or is it to do with the bluetooth version?
As you can see from this list: ups, not allowed to post URLs. but google "altea bluetooth compatible list" and the first hit shows the list of compatibile devices.
It's only partly compatible, not with the extended features..
