Disappointed With The N80

So. I'm real disappointed with the N80. The reason I bought it was:

1)Slider
2)3.2 MP Camera
3)Wi-Fi
4)3G(so I wouldnt have to buy a new phone once Vancouver gets video calling)

The camera sucks IMO. I've read that the N73 has better camera, but too bad it wasnt a slider. Now the slider doesn't matter. I wish I could trade this in. Hopefully I can. I bought it used, soo... But anyways. I saw the Sony Ericcson one with the 3.2.. That one was pretty good.

I'm just venting. What do you guys think? Any 'better' camera phones?

Can you give me some details. I am looking for a Silver 80IE. I currently have a Black as I was told the all IE versions came in Black. Code, firmware etc. I might be interested even with their lousy pop port.

Na! The N80 rocks man!! best phone I`ve ever had, its like a mini computer, and the amount of apps you can get for it is unbelivable.

I only had mine for 1 month before it bricked trying to upgrade to V5. A magician named CbCharlie revived it and now I hope to finally get to know it. I was starting to like and hope I will have the same feelings as you after awhile. You give me great enthusiasm.
BRAVO CbCHARLIE.

I'm not keen on my N80 anymore either, had it for nearly a year now and it just disappoints. It could be so good, and yet it isn't. I suspect the problems are more Nokia's software etc, but it still sucks!

I have memory leaks, which mean it needs rebooting daily, it's so slow to view gallery etc. And other then TomTom most of the apps are not that useful, just more gimeky (sp).

Will be moving off smartphones after this n80, just want a nice simple phone.

I'd suggest that if the main reason you bought your phone was for the camera then you chose the wrong model. As you suggest, the camera on the N73 is indeed better than the N80.

Why not consider the N95? It slides, it has 3G, a good camera and WiFi. Seems to cover all you wanted.

Mainly because the price of the N95 is too much atm.

Any other pecific reasons why I should stick with N80? Maybe this particular one just sucks/slow. I bought it used, soo,... Maybe I should trade it in for a new one?

I agree the N80 is awful speed wise. Nokia to make sure they ar eont op of things when it comes to smoothness. N95 is a step in the right direction.

N80 was simply hindered by the slowdowns and pauses.
