my 6260's green light on front shell doesn't work any more, sure i can get to nokia shop for repair, but is there any other options.
please tell me if any upgraded firmware is available, i need to know to know from where i can download firmwares.

That light can be fixed only at Nokia care. As for the firmware update, Nokia does not offer the updates off the NSU website for the 6260. You will have to take the phone to a nokia care centre for that too...
