Caller can't hear me!

Only started using my new N95 yesterday. At first everything seemed ok. Then, this morning I made a phone call. I could hear the other person perfectly, but they couldn't hear me. I then re-dialled them a few times but had the same problem.

I've just updated the N95's firmware to the latest version and made one phone call which seemed to work ok. Can someone tell me pse, is this a known problem and has it been fixed in the firmware update?

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I did a search and couldn't see any discussions of this problem anywhere.

Many tia!

I had this problem, apparently its a known problem. luckily i noticed it 2-3days after purchasing the handset so the o2 store were more than happy to replace it

Thanks for reply, but I'm still interested to hear if the latest firmware update has fixed this problem?

It happens if the caller the other end doesn't like witheld numbers. To fix, set network mode to dual mode and send caller id to network select.

One of them two fixes it, cant remember which. I mainly had this problem calling NTL numbers.

Thanks Mabsey, but I already had the above settings active when I had the problem. I've not yet had a recurrence though since updating the firware so hopefully it's been fixed, unless anyone know's better?
