P900\Outlook sync problems

I am using Windows XP Professional (2002) with Service Pack 2 and Microsoft Office 10 (2002) with an Outlook update file (5.0.2919.6304)

I have installed pc suite for P900 (2.3.0) and have set up the sync settings.

I am able to send images, movies etc to my P900 but when i try to sync my contacts with Outlook the sync dialogue box comes up on my monitor then I get a fatal exception.

I then downloaded pc suite 3.1.1 from the Sony Erricson website.

When installed i can again send images, movies etc to the P900 but when i try to sync with Outlook nothing happens at all (not even the fatal exception or sync dialogue box).

I have completely reinstalled Office and the P900 software but nothing seems to work.

Can anyone help as I'm going a little crazy......


Can anyone who has done this successfully let me know which versions of PC suite and Outlook i should be using and if i should install any updates. Maybe there is a basic system requirement?

Soliving Sync problems with Outlook 2003.

create new profile for email account.
uninstall pcsuite.
reboot.
reinstall pcsuite.
attach phone usb or bluetooth.
allow access to outlook(where the original sync failed/error originated)
Voila!
