Smile Service Light in Silent Mode

HI everyone
I am using my N80 while on a course at the mo which means using the silent profile or switching it off, due to personal circumstances I would prefer to have it in silent mode.

Although it is on a table top I was wondering if there is anyway of having the service light or screen flash when an incoming call or text is received?

Thanks in advance

I think the_poet means a missed call or recent new text?

i.e. you come back from your desk and the screen is off since it's in powersave mode. How do you know if you have a missed call without picking up the phone and activating the screen?

Is there a program to perhaps flash the blue power save light in a different way if you have unread messages or missed calls?

I would pay for that.

Yes, but if you don't see it soon enough the phone returns to sleep mode again. I agree with The Poet on this, it's annoying having to take the phone out of sleep mode to check on things. I do feel that more use could've been made of the blue light.

I thoroughly agree with you guys on this one - it would have made a lot more sense to utilise the blue light by flashing more quickly to denote a missed call or message pending. Seems logical to me.
