Problem with Nokia 3250 in America

I live in the United States and using the nokia 3250 with cingular service..it works fine ..i get good recpetion all the time.

i have a problem with a background noise (static) on almost 90% of my calls even when i have full reception! i can still hold a conversation but everyone complains and its really annoying.

Has anyone ever heard of this type of problem? ..i'm using the 3.24 version as my lastest firmware
