Deleting Annoying Orange Network Bar On Nokia N70

Hello There,

i wondered if anyone could help me please , i have a N70 from orange and it has the most annoying bar on the left hand side , also if i put a picture as wallpaper...it gets all squashed up , ive tried the nokia firware update...but ive already got the most up to date firmware on there, ive reinstalled it thinking it would delete orange software and replace with original nokia, i was wrong...its still the same.....can someone help me please. I will do anythin to get rid of the stupid orange crap :P thanks loads in advance

p.s why cant orange just leave blu#dy phones how they should be ;-)
also i think i let you know ie already been told to go to nokia updater and update the firmware...ive done this and it says i already have the most updated firmware :-S i have > V5.0546.2.3 18-11-05 RM-84
ive also been told to go to tools > standby > and turn it off....there isnt an option there THANKS CJ

Hi,

My Orange N70 has firmware version, V5.0616.2.0.3 and you can switch off the Orange LHS toolbar (aka Orange HomeScreen) by using:

Menu > Tools > Settings > Phone > Standby mode > Orange Homescreen > On/Off

Get the latest f/w from your local Nokia Service Centre if the Software Updater isn't working for you.
