Text viewer (and or editor) ideas pls.

Hi everyone,

I finally jumped to Symbian after using Windows Mobile for many years. I used Psion before and wanted to have all-in-one and a Nokia.

Although I'm having a really hard time finding all I need to keep up with the great applications available for the windows mobile platform, I find it shocking that I can't find a good viewer for .txt files. One that would enable me to click on a .txt file in the file browser and open it (for god's sake not in the Notes).

Any ideas? Symbian Viewer 1.0 is so far the best I've found.

Thank you!
-meny

Already 11 EUR for just viewing text is not too good, but 25 EUR is too high, but thank you!

YEdit is a complete and as comprehensive text editor as one can expect for a small screen device (that is, not just for viewing).

For a simple viewer you can always use FExplorer (http://www.gosymbian.com).

Another text editor:
Unteh Notepad: http://www.unteh.com/products/notepad/

Thanks, but again, YEdit is way too expensive and Unteh has incredibly awful UI design. Why force XP look upon your phone? Does Symbian have no usability guidelines?

I'm going for symbian viewer, it's still the best for .txt. It's unfortunate though that it doesn't automatically associate .txt files in the explorer. I have to buy their other product file manager for that.. :(
