I just discovered that there seems to be compatibility problems between the X700 and the Starhub SIM card. I cannot connect to the browser using GPRS and cannot send/receive MMS when my Starhub SIM card is placed in the X700. However when I place my Singtel SIM card in the X700 I do not encounter such problems. I also tested my Starhub SIM card by placing it in another handset and there are no problems using GPRS or sending/receiving MMS. I sent the phone to the Starhub technical team and they said that all the settings are correct and they are also stumped as to what is wrong. They placed my Starhub SIM in another X700 handset and still it cannot send/receive MMS.
Are there other Starhub X700 users out there? If so can you test out the GPRS and MMS function of your phone?
