Managing Contacts PROPERLY !

Is there PC sotware available that can allow me to download my phone contacts to it, edit them on the PC (faster), then, upload them back to the phone?

I have a N7610 using the USB port to communicate with my PC.

Thank you in advance for your expert knowledge.

PC Suite and it's sync to outlook will help, but only to a limited extent as Vicky said. That is because the phone has many more fields than outlook default. As a result some of the data will get lost or put into different fields.

I use Palm Desktop and have purchased SmartvCard which can export/import contacts as a file which can then be imported into the Palm Desktop in the PC. You can select multiple contacts into 1 file (I have tried upto 45 contacts at one go).

The other alternative is Oxygen Phone Manager II, but that will only work through BT, since nokia cable is proprietary stuff.

Sorry I don't understand your problem anymore. Use outlook or oxygen as already stated. What answer are you looking for? I use Outlook and have had no problem. Using the PC Suite you can use your USB to sync. Since you will just be starting to use it, confine yourself to the fields that are used when you sync your phone to Outlook for the first time. All fields that the 7610 uses are mapped to a field in Outlook.
