IR remote control pops when using GPRS

I have IR remote control installed and wheneer I am browsing using GPRS and dowloading some apps or images , the IR Remote control interrupts and starts looking for updates and then the browser does not owrk properly .

Can anyone suggest how to inhibit this action of the IR Remote of automatically checking for updates,

Is there a start up folder for the 36xx phone? Or maybe IR is running in the background?
