gprs connection on gps navigating

hi all,

whenever i am operationg navigation application (the digital compass) on my e90 the phone connects to the internet through gprs and sends 3bytes and recieves 1byte. is it normal? how can i switch it off?

ok i have found the answer.. it is because of a-gps. hope this helps
