E65 - SIP client stopped working

I have my E65 configured for my Sipgate SIP account but it has recently stopped working. It connects to my network and to the Sipgate server as I can see it online on the Sipgate website, but it can neither make nor receive calls. My SIP service is working fine as I have another phone connected via a Linksys ATA and it makes and receives calls but not the E65. Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

I had this happen with my E61 and my local VoIP provider. I could register, but not make or receive calls. I solved it by going to Settings -> Phone -> Orig. Phone Settings and erasing my settings.

Note a few things:

1. This only erases settings from the settings app. Not your applications or files.
2. Some things aren't affected, i.e. Access Points
3. Do a Sync BEFORE you do this as in my case, it did reset my sync history.
4. There are no guarantees in life

Thanks for this suggestion. When I try to do this I find I need a 'lock code' and I'm not sure where to find this so I'll hunt for it in the documentation that came with the phone and see if I can find it. I'll report back with the result in due course.

Unless you changed it, I'm pretty sure it's 1234 or 12345

Yes, it is indeed 12345. But erasing the settings didn't solve the problem. The phone still connects automatically to my network and shows up on the Sipgate web site as being on line but it still won't make or receive calls. I'm using a new, and unfamiliar, ADSL router that may be causing the problem. I'll try hooking up my travel wireless router and see if it works via it as it's a known quantity and the phone has worked on it before. If so, then it's the ADSL router settings that are at fault.

Thanks anyway for the suggestion.

OK, the problem is with my ADSL router settings as the SIP client works fine when connected to another router on the network. So I guess I'll just have to dig about in the configuration menu of the Netgear router and see if I can solve the problem.
