Way to have ringer vibrate w/o email?

I simply want to have a profile where the ringer is set to vibrate (vibrate notification on) but not have the phone vibrate upon receiving a new email.

I have the email notification set to off, but the phone continues to vibrate briefly with each new email. It behaves this way with either Mail for Exchange or Roadsync. Is there anything I'm overlooking?
