is this possible on UIQ3 based sony handsets?

I'm looking at getting a P1i when I return to the UK in August however I was curious if you are able to do the following,
Basically i'm interested to know if you're able to alter images (such as, say a downloaded map) and draw on it with the stylus and save it for sending. It would be quite useful to be able to download a google map of where I am and draw on it directions and stuff, or just draw on my photos when I get bored on the bus.

Is this built into UIQ3 handsets or even as a standalone application?

The feature exists in the P990i so I would assume it will be carried forward into the P1i.

Yep, this sort of image editing is standard in all UIQ3 devices (and UIQ2 too for that matter). You can also add sketches to notes and email or MMS them as well.
