VKB driver for N73?

Is there a way to tell if a SIS file is S60 v3? The N73 is refusing to install the VKB (bluetooth infrared key board), reading the threads I guess the s/w may not be v3 but would like to be able to confirm this (vkb web site & contact us gave no answers).

Wonder if anyone has managed to get the VKB driver running on the N73?

I share your frustration. I also own a VKB and would love to have it activated on my N73, but obviously the Symbian 60 driver does not exceed Symbian 60 v2, whereas the N73 runs on v3. Anyone a solution??? Anyway, I sent an urgent message to the I-Tech HQ to solve this issue. Once answered upon I will post Q&A here.

This is the response I received yesterday, December 18, 2006, from I-Tech. I-Tech proves that customer service is definitely NOT their middle name:

"Bruno,

Sadly, there is currently no driver for the Symbian Series 60 3rd Edition.
There is some change between 2nd and 3rd edition that makes the driver we
currently have fail.
There is currently no known date for a newer driver being available.

I suggest returning it, or if you have another phone, using the VKB with
that one until a new driver is made."

Ergo, they suggest downgrading equipment instead of adjusting their driver. Very sad, very bad.

They nwo have a driver for the symbian and the vkb at
www.golan-tech.com (they sell it for $19.99 if you are not their customer)
