I listened to the radio this morning and they said that something happened at '<I>midnight last night</I>'.
Was midnight 'last night'? It is 1200am (or 0000) which should surely mean that midnight is, indeed, this morning?
It doesn't sound right though, 'midnight, this morning', but, that's when it was, else, it would be 1200pm and midday would have to be 1200am (which it isn't).
Perhaps they use the "Midnight last night" phrase because thick people wouldn't understad that midnight classes as morning?
