Dictionary changing prediction words

My dictionary seems to have changed itself on a few predictive words, so that when i type 76 for "so" the first suggested word that appears is "pm" and if i write 28 for "at" the first suggested word is "bt". I have not added these to the dictionary so I don't know why this is happening... any ideas?

Also, has anyone found out how to clear out the custom dictionary on the N80?

If you press the * key it will cycle through all suggested words. If none of the words are the ones you want and you've cycled through all the words in the dictionary the left soft key will change from 'options' to 'spell' allowing you to spell the word you require which then gets added to the dictionary. As ever RTFM.

Sorry can't help with clearing the custom dictionary.

I dont think this is the issue that Les has, I think his predictive dictionarry has actually changed the order the words are formed, so istead of "so" coming out when you type 76, "pm" comes out, obviously the word "so" is used more than "pm" and I believe that the dictionary is designed so that the most commonly used words are predicted first so that typing a text message is easier.

It's crap!
To put it bluntly.
AS becomes BS - what the hell is that all about?
Can you edit the dictionary anywhere, bs that would be useful?

You could always do
<pencil> >>> Predictive text >>> Insert word "so"

and it'll use that first. Although I do think it adapts to the words you use most. I used to get "might" first, then "night" now i get "night" before "might".

One thing I did notice a few weeks ago was when you write "night night" I had to change the first word with the * key from "might" to "night" then it remembered I used "night" on the second word and I didn't have to change it..

(I've just read that back to myself and not sure if it makes ANY sense!)

I am sure in a parallel universe is sounds perfect ..but I get your jist, good tip to get the most used words first, might and night always pisses me off..
