FTP phone to website?

Hi guys. If this has been discussed then apologies. On wap so cannot search. Anyway, is it possible to FTP photos (for example) to my website directly from my phone so people can see them? If so, what prog is that then? Cheers.

There is one that will even put your pix onto a web page right there in the phone! Then ftp the page & images to your website.

Can't remember what it is called now, do a quick search.

Best

Will.

on my 7650, i'd use yftp to send photos directly to my websites folders if ever i was out and about and ran out of phone storage memory, it'll be cheaper to use wap to send the photos if you have lots of free minutes off peak, i'm sure this is mostly the same for the 3650

I've been trying for a couple of days now, but I can't make this program connect to my ftp server. :( I've read the PDF manual but it isn't particularly helpful.

Anyone know what I might be doing wrong? I've tried a couple of different server and account addresses but I can't get it working.

Yes I had the same problem with YFTP on my 3650... couldn't get it to connect to any FTP server... I eventually uninstalled it.

Maybe on a newer version it will be mroe reliable. Seems like a good idea though.

Well it isn't just images. That was just an example. I really need ftp but still I've had no joy with this app. Don't know what else to try now. :(

Hi,

I'm busy on my FileExplorer to integrate a FTP client to send/receive the selected files to a FTP server.

Great news Domi. Look forward to seeing that. Just hope I'll have more success with yours than with YFTP!

I'm jealous! I've tried several combinations of server addresses and account details but nothing connects me. There must obviously be something I'm doing wrong but I just can't figure it out. I've copied the same details from cuteftp on the PC which works fine!

I have try several sites too and all work fine !! PS: are you sure of the port number, in several case, the problem can come from there.

I suggest that you download a free FTP server and you put your pc as a FTP server, get your IP adress, configure the FTP server and YFTP with this address, than run YFTP and see what happens on the FTP server on your PC to see if your phone is able (or trying) to connect.

PS: for me, I use the excellent FTPServer from Pablo Vandermeer ( www.pablovandermeer.nl )

Hope this help !
