I find that the battery meter also loses a bar quicker than did my N95. It seems that the battery indicator is a bit more "linear" than the N95 but the battery still doesn't last as long. At the moment I get about 48 hours standby with minimal use. About 36 with regular use - a few calls/texts and using the music player with bluetooth for about 40 minutes.

Make sure you:
1) Set your packet data to "When needed" instead of "When available"
2) Set wifi so that it doesn't continuously look for hotspots
3) Keep bluetooth off when not in use

No way you'll get anywhere near 5 days on standby though. Perhaps this has something to do with the phones poor reception. Maybe it uses more battery to boost the signal.
