Well, after updating firmware from 2.xxx to 3.xxx I must say that RAM management is much better. If you would like to continue the Palm exeprience, I would recommend you to buy a Sony Ericsson P1i, which is also a Symbian device (UIQ 3) with a staggering 80MB of RAM after boot, full QWERTY, WLAN, 3.2 MPx camera and a pretty large 2.6" touchscreen. This smartphone is also one of the lightest among Symbian devices. In my oppinion it will suit your preferences better than E70.
