we always get the blame.there are many (debatably) good reasons why we don't optimize as much as possible for battery life, many are the result of compromise.

How about blaming battery developers...

That photo of the 5530 reminds me how it bugs me that the speakers on all smart phones point away from the user. The 5530 looks like it has them facing the user, but it actually doesn't...why? why?...
