How to end calls by pushing the slide down??

Hi every1, i no this is a really stupid question, but i've looked everywhere on the phone and i cannot seem to figure out how to end a call by simply sliding down the slider on the n95. Every time i finish a conversation i have to press the red button....n e suggestions????

Sorry no suggestions, but you cant be that lazy to press the red button each time you wanna stop a call ?? Can you ?? I will try and remember next time to use the slide down to see if or what happens when ending a call..Never occured to me before

i no its a bit daft..but it aint even about being lazy..its just awkward to press the red button. Its just one of those things that you expect a sliding phone 2 b doing..

Let me rephrase what im having problems doing. Basically i cnt seem to end a active call by just sliding the front of the phone down. Are there no options for this???

not for n95 no, i dont think there is a 3rd party app yet to do that. the n80 has this feature

I think it is a good idea to *not* end the call when you close it. I like to dial a number, and then close it to make it a bit more robust while speaking. I guess it should be a setting/preference though.

I agree.. I know it may seem strange that a slide-phone don't hang up when closing, but after a while, I actually like the feature, closing the phone after dialling a number and then just pressing the button and placing the phone in my pocket after the call.. But I do agree it should have been an option. Alot of people are used to ending calls by the "slider" and it shouldn't be hard for nokia to implement this option.

Slide up to answer call. Slide down to end call:rolleyes: :icon14: . Just like clamshell phone, flip open and close, answer and end.

well...i guess thats nokia for you...all the n80 and all other nokia sliders seem to have this function so i dnt understand why they have left it out with the n95:S

i was thinking about this the other day. cant believe its not an option ! Even the most simplest phones have it. not impressed.

Like other posters mention i like the feature of being able to slide down the phone during a call without having the call terminated. Just preference i suppose but i suppose it has something to do with landscape switching in apps.

This is what the 6110 navigator does.

Perhaps the N95 could have this simple menu added in the next firmware? No real reason why not.

henkdetank 16-08-2007 10:20 AM

Hmm, i'm missing this option to, just thought I was crazy hehe...
Should defenitly be a preference..

jasons1967 16-08-2007 01:41 PM

Opposite problem

Is there a way of persuading the N95 not to answer a call until the green button is pressed. I find it next to impossible to get the phone out of my hip holster without jogging the slider sufficiently to answer the call. I then don't know who is calling and have no option but to speak.
