upgrading from n95 to n96

i have two questions:

1. on my n95 i have a folder which contains 300+ SMS. Is there ANY way I can move these SMS from my n95 to my n96??

2. i have added lots and lots of words to the n95 T9 dictionary. Is there anyway I can move the T9 dictionary to the n96? Or is there atleast any possibility where i can modify the n96s T9 dictionary on my computer?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Not sure abut dictionary but other stuff is really easy to transfer. You have more choices. Syncing with pc and than copying it to your n96. Or you can use tools/utilities/switch feature a copy them via bluetooth.

thanks for the response but could you tell me exactly how to do it?
what i need to do is save a folder thats located in "Messaging>My Folders". The folder contains over 300 SMS. Unfortunately with the nokia pc suite, i cant figure out how to get the messages on my pc and then transfer them to my n96.

also where can i find "tools>utilities>switch feature"? :-s

any detailed instructions would be greatly appreciated :)

You've already listed the location - Tools Menu/Utilities/Switch ... I just used to sync (everything bar pictures and sounds) between my N95 and a 5800 ....

It's probably too late if you have already ordered your N96... but why do you want one?
The only thing the N96 has that N95/N82 don't is 16Gb onboard memory (and 16Gb MicroSD cards for the N95 are now very cheap!)

N96 Downsides:

1. Nokia have removed the VOIP client, so Truphone and some other popular internet telephone services don't work.
2. Nokia have removed the graphics co-processor, so 3D games (Quake etc) either don't work or screen updates are very slow.
3. Symbian 9.1 5th Edition - lots of 3rd edition apps are not compatible.
4. Battery life is terrible
5. With the latest V12 firmward, you need to reboot every few days as the GUI slows to a crawl.

I sold my N96 on eBay and bought an N82 as it's miles better than the N96.

I believe you can make a copy of your dictionary, its in C:\Predic
Just copy it to somewhere on your phone and bluetooth it to your N96. Dump it into C:\Predic and your dictionary should be like your N95's.

i actually had a 8gb card in my n95 for over 6months, but honestly i never ever had more than 5gb worth of data on it. what i am trying to say is that i didnt upgrade because of the n96s 16gb memory. the reason why i moved to n96 is because i got it for free from my employer ;)

i would have never bought it if it were my money. only thing that i like about it is the bigger display and the fact that it "feels and looks" more expensive than the n95

i dont see a folder called "predic"when i connect my phone to my computer :-s
it is a hacked phone, although i must add that i used the drakious patch where you dont need a computer to hack your phone.
