i tried sports tracker the other day but kept losing gps signal when placing the phone in my pocket. Any tips? I had a full lock before it went in the pocket

JayTay I usually keep my N95 8GB in a coat pocket or my rucksack when on my way to work but would like to be able to track my speed and progress as I cycle. the downside to this is that if I took a tumble the phone would probably come off worse for wear.

Antoine of MMM I use Sports Tracker with my N95 and its one of the reasons that I bought the N95; its something that I like to do and why I like to keep in shape now... seeing it digital is a bit of an incentive to ride.

Excellent!

Ewen: "... is a fantastic way to keep yourself motivated."

I couldnt agree more, its fantastic to see the distance you cover, and then have a look at all the statistics later uploaded on the NSP website.

Its also a great way to keep a diary of the dates and distance you run (or cycle).

Guys, i just place my phone in the back pouch of my running tights, always picks up a GPS signal .

Best regards from Belfast.
Darren.

jonathan488 Ditto, I'd like to know what you're using to mount your phone on your bike. I've seen a mount on eBay but it looks a bit cumbersome...

Unregistered How do you monitor Sports Tracker as you cycle? Do you have a cradle for the bike?

Ewan As anyone who knows Edinburgh will attest to, there are some very steep and long hills. (eg Blackford Hill) and if you get some clear traffic... wheeeee!

S60 - your cycling buddy?

There does seem to be a certain swing towards using your smartphone to keep fit in recent weeks, and Ewan shares here some of the ways in which his S60 phone (currently an N85) helps him keep moving in his daily cycle rides around the Edinburgh area. Interested to see the speed clocked in one of the screenshots though. Goodness knows how fast he might go if we gave him a N79 Active...
