slitchfield No, it's not native, it's a HTML/Javascript thing.

And yes, there are some glitches. I did say that Google hadn't finished working on it all 8-)

ltv Thanks Steve,
I use google docs a bit, but I had no idea it was available on mobile (the only time I go to m.google.com is to reinstall gmail and I never bothered to read the full list of links).
This is definitely going to come handy some time.

But when I view a spreadsheet in the e90's small screen and scroll horizontally, something funny happens. Some the text disappears . For example, if I am looking at a word "Component", after scrolling a little bit to the right , only "ponent" is displayed(I am not talking about the text moving left and out of the screen - the text just disappears).
The text doesnt reappear even if I scroll back to the left. Don't know if this is a problem with the particular page or with the S60 browser. I don't remember this happening on any other page though.
Anyway this means that the spreadsheet is not really usable in the e90 small screen.
But everything works fine on the wide screen, so one can still manage.

Unregistered Native S60 client? Presumably? (looking at the screenshots)

Mobile Google Docs and News both almost ready for the prime time

Although nothing's been officially announced yet, I've noticed that both Google Docs and Google News have had their mobile sites overhauled recently. Some screenshots below, including WYSIWYG views of documents and spreadsheets.

Read on in the full article.
