RE: Why do u your compare E71 with N95

Why do u your compare E71 with N95?

The phones are designed completely for different use. Comparing a phone designed for Multimedia with a phone designed for Business is not fair, slating its Media Capabilities are not as good as a Phone specifically designed for Such.

Why not Compare the E71 with the Previous E Series Models, Other Similar Devices such as the blackberry curve and blackberry bold.

Somethings that you didnt say about the E71 is that the operating system is a lot more stable than the N95 one was when it came out crashing all over the place especially if you wanted to run more than one application.

I added my E-mail accounts Hotmail and G Mail to this phone and they work like a dream. I find it very simple to reply and make e-mails very quickly on this phone.

The Quick Office Works unlike the One on my N95 which appeared to be there but wasnt and I had to download.

Its definately the best phone Nokia made for someone who needs to be in touch with there e-mails all the time on the move etc, use to start writing up reports instead of taking a laptop everywhere etc. I seen other independent review sites giving this phone top reviews even better than the blackberrys. This phone is certainly much nicer on the eye than blackberrys. Blackberry make some of the uglyiest too much plastic phones whilst this has a nice chrome finish fascias

comparison with 5310

I have a 5310 which plays excellent .aac music files recorded at the highest level allowed by Nokia Music Manager (192 k I think). How would this compare with an E71 playing the same tracks?

Movie/film playback

Great review although is it capable of playing back a movie/film smoothly (ie with LonelyCats SmartMovie Player) from the microSD card. My E70 can but I cannot seem to find any info for the E71.

We'll try (it'll have to be me as I've been the one using an E71), but I've got several other things to get through first. I'll happily try and answer specific questions though. I may do it as a video review.

Question about the music features in the E71

Hello,

does the E71 features an n-band equalizer for music? Or is it just "boost bass" and "don't boost bass"?

Would you recommend the E71 as replacement for a standalone MP3-Player?

Regards,

JulianH

UPnP supported

Hi,

I wonder if UPnP is supported by the E71?

Thanks,

What's the cheapest price of Nokia E71 phone in the US or the UK right now? I live in Pakistan and planning to buy one either from the US or UK before actually going to the UK in August.

Would it be fine, if I buy the phone from an American cell phone selling website and then take that phone to the UK? Would it work fine?

The reason why I don't prefer to buy this cell phone from the UK is that the ''Pound'' is very expensive. 1 pound = 135 Pakistani rupees; whereas 1 US dollar = 68.5 rupees only.

I would appreciate, if you could tell me some websites (American and English both) from where I could buy this phone on the cheapest price possible!

Thank you.

D4n958GB Excellent review You can def see the difference in cam quality over the N95, but its still more then acceptable for those cheeky shots when your out and about. This will def be my next upgrade in October.

How does WI-Fi antenna reception compare to other smartphones?
21-06-2008 07:11 PM
buster Dear Mr Pythonista,
if you knew how to read, you would have noticed that Steve did not say that JFFS2 was rubbish, he said that what you said was rubbish; not the same thing at all.

And unless I am much mistaken, this was a review of a mobile phone, not a debate about whether some particular file system is better than another one. And anyway, it is certainly not clear in what way the S60 file system is deficient and whether some as yet unheard of file system will be any better.

As Steve said, stop trolling and get a life...

Portable Operating System Interface

Dear Mr. IT Professional, If you've never even heard of JFFS2. then you wouldn't know if it is a load of rubbish or not. I have heard of a business asking for it, funding it, manufacturing it and distributing it. The name of the business: Nokia.

If you are not qualified to write about technologies Nokia is developing for business, then you certainly shouldn't be blogging on them.
