lovesign Well, I got this mail over a day ago, and neither of the two "new" games are available yet :(

I am so looking forward to the Golf game

ccraig in UK most networks don't do data plans for pay & go customers ,vodafone charge Ģ1 a day for 15mb and Ģ2 extra for every 1 mb after that.
theres no such thing as cheap internet/3G for pay and talk customers .
i spent Ģ50 the month of april when i was away from home wifi.
so i would'nt say cheap data is here yet for everybody would u ?
Networks are biased and give cheap data to people on contracts yet most money they make these days is from pay & talk customers b/c they pay double for everything.

robg79 I also have an uncapped data tariff on Vodafone UK (well 500mb anyway). It might be good for somebody to publish an article on just how data intensive each game is, so those of us who play n-gage when we're out of the house have some idea of how much we're potentially spending.
At the moment, as the games don't support real time head to head, im sure that data exchange is not too intensive. But that will change.
Another query i have is that although mobile carriers publish their download limit per month, should we be aware of what the upload limit is too.. and how much data n-gage games fire up to the net as well as down? If a fair amount of data is actually uploaded could we not get unwittingly stung on our next phone bill?
Krisse, knower of all things, maybe u could shed a little light on this?! :-)

Nokia have already said they are in talks with Networks to get cheap data plans for there products so they can be used any where.
There's no need to wait for that kind of thing, data prices are falling anyway.

I get unlimited uncapped data for 10 euros a month, which is about 7 pounds. You can't get much cheaper than that.

ccraig Nokia have already said they are in talks with Networks to get cheap data plans for there products so they can be used any where.
They also in talks with them to sell there products like N-gage games through the networks wap sites where they already sell clips ,games music etc
I'm in UK I've only came across 1 public wlan HOtSpot area so far
Majority of people can only get wlan access at home so cheap data plans are vital,
I'm so hoping tthem games will get released but knowing nokia it just some promo screw up with them promoting unreleased games alongside released titles when they could of marketed already in showroom games in the emails to get sales
Plus now cracked games are about they'll probably delay releases now to put some other measures in place

Thatīs why N-Series have that thing call WI-FI!!!!!
Great point, but you'd have to be at home or near a public hotspot for it to work.

Unregistered Thatīs why N-Series have that thing call WI-FI!!!!! and for N73 you have Internet throw Bluetooth, it works for me and my Ngage QD

PD: All N-series compatibles with Ngage Have WI-FI free internet if you donīt know ;-)

krisse Regarding when the games would actually come out, it's unlikely they'd release two at once, they're more likely to spread the releases to increase interest in each title.

Worms over bluetooth would be brilliant. Bet theres no BT multiplayer though, just over Ngage.
Worms is a turn-based game so it's not like the gameplay would be any different on Bluetooth.

On the other hand, I suppose some people still have problems with the data costs on such games, so that's an advantage for BT.

sandy_1988 Both these games will be exciting, I bet. However, I agree with bartmanekul, we need more BT multiplayers. And before that, support for N73 and N93.
BTW, Worms World Party page says,
Code:
 Features

    * Multiplayer Mode:  Online
    * Number of players:  1-4
    * N-Gage Arena:  Multiplayer gaming
and Pro Series Golf says,
Code:
 Features

    * Multiplayer Mode:  Online
    * Number of players:  1-4
    * N-Gage Arena: Rankings, Multiplayer gaming
    * Bluetooth mode:  None
So, let's wait for ONE, it was advertised earlier to have BT.

sbarts Golf is the game i've been waiting for before committing any money to Ngage. I'll have to continue to refresh the games list now until it appears.

bartmanekul Worms over bluetooth would be brilliant.

Bet theres no BT multiplayer though, just over Ngage.

As said before, there needs to be more bluetooth MP, thats what many are interested in.

Id buy it, if I had an Ngage compatible phone.

Worms and Golf about to appear?

Nokia has just sent out a mailshot to gamers trumpeting Worms World Party and Pro Series Golf (plus MHP and Snakes Subsonic), so I'm guessing that these two new games will be appearing in the N-Gage download area imminently. Or else it's a Nokia marketing screw-up. Place your bets.

Read on in the full article.
