Topic Review (Newest First)

Richard Ross PDA Essentials is easily the best of the phone mags here in the UK: I've had to stop reading the others (and most Apple-focused mags too) because they are so clearly swayed by the manufacturers.

On topic, the W960i gets, to my mind, an amazing amount of love from the online commentators. My girlfriend has one and it's fairly horrible. She's a classic 'I want to use it not know everything about it' consumer and it's just not responsive at all.

slitchfield In this case, the mention was in the comments. I didn't mean it was always in the story itself.

Can we stop now please??

Yes, it's that time in the month. PDA Essentials magazine is out, issue 74, this time with a two page feature on N-Gage, a two-page tutorial on location tagging your photos on the N95, plus a review of the Sony Ericsson W960i as part of an iPhone killers group test. Good reading, as usual!

The W960i came in last, alas, with 6/10 overall. Quoted downsides were 'laggy apps', 'long bootup' and a 'four second pause between music tracks'.

Or do I need to click yet another time somewhere?

slitchfield Err.... I do mention it each time... usually below the break, but....

viipottaja Ok, if that's the case, it would really be great if that was mentioned each time.. you know, just in the interest of transparency. I was wondering why this magazine is always plugged in.

krisse I hope you plugged All About N-Gage, Steve! :-)

slitchfield In each issue, I write the Symbian Help desk items, plus one tutorial, and then do features every now and then. In this case, I did the N-Gage feature, for example, but not the W960i review, which was part of someone else's group test.

krisse Steve writes for it, the rest of us don't.

viipottaja Steve, I have never seen the magazine, but are you guys contributing to it (i.e. write stories for it)?
