I think you'll find Microsoft *are* to blame for the bloatware of Nokia's semi-experimental Nseries PC Suite, since it's all based on .NET, which is why it's so slow and huge 8-)

Personally, as with you, I just stick to the relatively efficient standard PC Suite.

You'll need to explain that one a bit more. S60 is neither a web server nor mail server.

If you mean access to Exchange server mail accounts, I believe that there are 3rd party apps.

Nokia N96

As a long time Windows Mobile user, I've now decided to give the Symbian format a go. I bought a Nokia N81 8GB and find the interface very intuitive and easy to use. The N96 appearance wise looks a very similar device, but has a great feature set. I have a number of general concerns though as a mobile businessman:

1. Device battery life is very important
2. I've yet to find a synchronisation programme able to sync contacts, calender AND email (through direct PC connection). I understand there are GPRS and WiFi alternatives, but I like to have the choice of cable connection to my PC.
3. I thought Microsoft were into bloatware, but Nokia's latest Nseries PC suite takes the biscuit. After numerous PC crashes, I went back to the version that cae on the CD.
4. I like to see some equivalent of Outlook Web Access

Other than this I'm beginning to like the Nokia interface.

Hands-on video with the Nokia N96

To complement his textual preview of Nokia's upcoming N96, Rafe has produced a comprehensive hands-on video about the device, covering each of its major areas with video (and photos) shot at Mobile World Congress. Rafe makes a compelling argument against actually calling the N96 a flagship, but its specs are still mightily impressive.
