kontraband Hey ashu,

should be fine with gprs, edge 3G etc. When I tested it the first page you came to with the free verison was the joikuspot page. Theres nothing you needed to change with your net settings unless you were previously connecting via proxy.

Sometimes I did notice it took a while to connect to the net page so perhaps it is that? Also make sure your on an adhoc connection. I didnt have to configure any static IP but I have seen users need to do that elsewhere, mostly with EeePCs

When I originally looked at it it was an unsecured hotspot so no, you couldnt stop anyone else from connecting to it.

check out Mennisys' comments re this and other connections too.

joiku help pls anyone?

hi.
I may sound very naive here but i have a peculiar prob and need to get it resolved before i take the plunge of buying the premium version.

I have a compaq M2201TU laptop which I was connecting to the joiku light that i installed on my nokia n 82 last night.

My laptop identified the wi fi spot of joiku and got connected. (hurray!) but the net did not get connected. Is there any specific setting you need to run the net or was it just the case of slow internet speed? I was on gprs for your info.

Need to know otherwise my $19 will be wasted.

Thanks for the help in advance guys.

Joiku Spot Light query

Hi, i have a query.

Can I restrict someone from using joiku as their wi-fi. My intention is to just run my laptop from this and in a very selfish tone, would not want others using my data!!!!

Can anyone help here?????

Works great on E90

I just installed the premium (paid) 2.00(433) version on my E90 and it works as advertised. Multiple clients can connect and surf simultaneously including an iPhone and my MacBook Pro. After an hour or so of browsing, the battery has gone down two bars and the left side of the inner keyboard is warm (the E90 was closed). I have set the default access point in the settings and turned off GPS. Data speed seems to be at the limit of EDGE.

traffic cone wow, this is seriously killer app and worked first time on my N95-1 and laptop. I've been after an app like this for a long time. I'm awestruck.

Well done and please keep up the work, a very useful tool. I look forward to the updates.

Thank you very much!!!!

some pages don't load - Mac/Nokia E61 latest firmware update

I'm on a Mac. Sometimes some web pages don't load -- I've tried turning on/off lots of preferences in firefox to help lighten the work load but nothing helps. Only some web pages load. Salesforce.com's login page doesn't work, and sometimes even Google doesn't work. Any advice? Much needed. thanks

E61 connection

I have the same E61 firmware. I did manage to connect to the internet but every 5 -10 seconds my Nokia keeps requesting which gateway to use (vodafone 3G in my case") so I have to click to accept repeatedly on the phone if I wish to keep browsing on the Dell D620 Laptop using the Intel proset/wireless connection
