Unregistered I have Nokia N800 with WM6 phone. With this, I can put it in better use rather than using both devices. Save more power as well as more reliable connection. Besides, Voip is more dteady via Wifii

Send "OPEN" to 9526 for activation

I am in fact very excited about it. T-Mobile was the first operator to introduce flat rate but consdiering many others also introduce the similiar sort of deals, it is a great move.

My contract was due and intended to switch to other network provider but with this service for someone who work in City, London is simply brillant.

For those people who is using T-Mobile, do not bother to call their customer service which by the way is one of the worst to know their company's goods and services.

You simply send a text message containing "OPEN" (in capital letters) to "9526". You then will receive your username starting with "your phone number"@t-mobile.co.uk and your unique password. I did it in a Starbucks Cafe and its activated within minutes.

Enjoy it guys

Unregistered Not a great deal of use, if you have a 3.5G access anyway.

jah I had to switch from my web'n'walk Pro to the web'n'walk Plus account to get the free wifi. You get a user name and password by sms once activated. Note that some web'n'walk Pro account did include for a limited time free wifi.

Jejoma Very nice but like most Wi-Fi this is city-centric. Living out in the sticks - all of 40 miles from London - it is of no use to me. Mind you, we can't even get working 3G here!!

Sard
access

How do they control access? Do you get a username and password you have to type in for each hotspot?

jpwbamber I have had a t-mobile web'n'walk addon to my contract for about 18 months.
I went out this evening to checkout my access to hot spots listed in http://t-mobile.hotspot-directory.co.uk/search.php found I could start browsing with my N95 at the listed BT Openzone hot spots. Not sure if this is something new. Not sure if this is provided by my web'n'walk addon.

stuclark You're not alone - T-Mobile have been very bad at informing their own staff about this too. The press release can be found at http://www.t-mobile.co.uk/services/a.../media-centre/

T-Mobile UK add free WiFi access for web'n'walk users

In a move which is set to further shake up the UK data market, T-Mobile has launched free access to it's network of WiFi hotspots for new users signing up to it's web'n'walk plus or pro plans. What with almost unlimited 3G data and WiFi, this move sets T-Mobile yet another step ahead of the competition in the rush to offer for "free" data access. The full press release follows.
