Yes, 'sad' used in this sense is saying that the person recognises that he or she needs to 'get a life' and not take pleasure in such childish activities such as using one's phone as a light sabre.
Taken in this way the term 'sad' applies to most of us who frequent the AAS website.

Would be nice to be able to control when the clash-sound is to be applied, though...
I installed it and ran the program but it doesnt seem to do anything, when I look in tasks it doesnt show it running.
