Power supply needed or not?
Steve:-
"the connection into the back of the cradle is miniUSB... and this also supplies power to the E61i's Pop-port charging pins."
Are you sure? Not according to the Proporta web page:-
"Note that you can use the Proporta USB Sync-Charge CRADLE to synchronise your data without the AC power supply connected but, unlike a Sync-Charge CABLE, it will not charge the device without AC power attached."
Which is right?

"can we order these stuff online? i'm from riyadh, KSA and i don't think they'll be available here."
Your best bet might be to try and get them on ebay.

Looking at the Nokia case, it still seems to expose a lot of the top of the phone - having dropped my N80 countless number of times with it sporting a couple of nasty dents in the corners, I can say since getting a case which covers those, I've not had the same problem since.

Steve, you need to get your hands on the new Vaja case for the E61i. It's certifiably pimptastic! I've ordered mine in chocolate vitelino. Mmmmmm.......... ;D

I'm not such a fan of belt-mounted cases - with my wallet and keys already in my trousers, it takes a full-time effort to stop them falling down. My dilemma in the hot weather (i.e. without a coat) has been solved by the purchase of a fantastic man-bag - crumpler's 'pretty boy' 650S, which neatly fits my wallet, keys phone and soon-to-hopefully-have-and-hold E61i, plus a notebook. And it's velcro so I think hopefully, according to krisse, not easily nickable from. (that is, until the velcro wears out).

On the subject of velcro, I recently heard an interview with a professional pickpocket (they don't actually steal, it's a theatre act). Apparently pickpockets absolutely hate the stuff as it makes such a noise when it's opened, so it's arguably a sort of security feature.

With photos and review comments on a cradle and four cases, Steve has been pimping the Nokia E61i. Just how much should you pamper your smartphone? Of the four cases, and not for the first time in a roundup, the cheapest accessory won out!
