Lovin it

HEy thanks UnrealTechno for putting your self at such a risk, not many people were brave to try that out. Finally theres the answer. So does this mean if Sandisk would come up with 8gb or more in future using SDHC technology it would work on n95 ?

anyways ive had my n95 for a little over a month and its real worth the money. I am completely satisfied with the camera that i gave up my 4.1mp cybershot camera. GPS works fine with google maps (its not 100% accurate though), Music player is up to the standards but it doesnt quiet kick ipod butt yet (im not an apple fan either), decent web browsing, Instant messaging is convinient, Awsome games if you can find there are good free ones, I bought Vbag which is the Game boy Advance emulator for s60 os which is PRIMO ( for a guy who loves old school classic games). Great looks and feel (i prefer square shaped objects that fit in my palm not tiny little round devices that looks too futuristic). On the downside, the phone might get a little slow if you open too many apps at the same time (common guys what do you expect it does its best doing multitasking at 64MB ram). Awsome little tools that come handy in day to day tasks like calendar that has todos and anniverseries, metric convertions etc etc. Im quiet envy the new 8GB black monster, but i have learnt to be happy with what i have over the time.

My Sandisk 4GB SDHC card arrived yesterday and works perfectly. Still using the V11 firmware and the card works flawlessly.

Little bit disappointing, but...

I played with my N95, and, yes I am a little bit disappointed.

But just a little bit.

Look, you have a camera, a decent camcorder, a radio, a mp3 player, a WLAN browser, a SIP client and a GPS! (the phone is working too).
So, don't expect the quality of your camera, your camcorder, your ipod, your navigation system and your laptop.
On the other side:
1.) sony-ericsson does better pictures with less megapixel
2.) lot of "why, why, why ???!!!?" I.e. why does the N95 *not* charge when connected to the computer! (just one of it)
3.) missing touch screen
4.) be ready to recharge 2-3 time a day if you play a lot with all functions.

My conclusion:
When I received the Sony-Ericsson k750 two year ago, I just said *great!!!*. The k750 was thinked in detail. The N95 is not, but still a great piece of hardware.

Rafe I have to say I think at this stage 4GB cards (if via SDHC) will not be supported. I'll try and get a definitive answer though.

Unregistered Oooh, I didn't realise you guys were Readingites .

The pinky cast is really nasty in those shots of the Oracle though - have you found it to be particularly photos of the sky which have the problem?

Also, I know it's been asked a lot, but is there any chance of a definitive statement as to whether they'll be able to allow for 4GB cards via firmware update, or if it's definitely not going to happen?

Have you tried continuous video from a full charge? Any idea how long you can manage?

Why?

Why won't anyone try using a SDHC card now that the prod version has been released. Please try it so the question about N95 SDHC capability can finally be answerd.

slitchfield The trouble is that so much has already been said about the N95. The game plan is to do a series of AAS review features, looking at specific aspects of its functionality. In parallel, I'm doing an N95 Special Review for the Smartphone Show. This should be up by mid week. Then in a week or two, there will be a textual AAS review, summing up how well or badly it has performed in real life.
