krisse I was a little surprised too, but I'm not going to judge the game until I see it. It can actually be good for a developers if they stretch themselves with new genres, it stops them getting lazy.

marcb Infinite Dreams has made some excellent games. (I am a big fan of Sky Force.)

I was a little disappointed when I found out that Creatures of the Deep was a fishing game though...
I know quite a few people enjoy those, but I was hoping for some human/deep sea creature encounters in the depths of the oceans! :D

krisse Yeah, I wondered about that! I can only assume the video they're using is still the same one that was made a year ago at E3 2006, when the game wasn't anywhere near ready.

If they can animate such wonderful landscapes, clearly they could animate the fish too, and it would be odd if it didn't appear in the final game.

viipottaja What is amazing to me is that although the game graphics look great otherwise, there is still (as far as I can tell) no animation of the fist actually coming out of the water and dangling in the air.. all you get is SUPER dull announcement of what type and size fish you caught.. lame..

Creatures Of The Deep next gen N-Gage game preview

Pocketgamer.co.uk has posted a preview of the upcoming next gen N-Gage game Creatures Of The Deep. As previous revealed by Nokia, the game centres around fishing at various locations around the world, and from the sound of the preview it seems to be aimed squarely at casual gamers who want a pick-up-and-play experience. You can also check out the official website for CotD at mobileangler.com. The developers of CotD are Infinite Dreams, the creators of some darn good S60 games such as K-Rally, Sky Force and Super Miners.
