krisse There are pretty big crowds at the booth on day 2 and day 3 if you look at the pictures on the N-gage blog. I'm guessing people stayed away on day 1 though, considering the 'Gage's reputation wasn't exactly great in the past.

slitchfield It's true that there are lots of hard core 'converted' Symbian fans here on AAS, but a very large fraction of our traffic comes in from search engines and external links, all of whom could well be very new to all things S60/UIQ etc.

E3 isn't about users

Nokia's presence at E3 is probably aimed more at attracting new developers to the platform. By targetting their budget at AAS they'd be preaching to the converted.

I'm not saying your strategy wouldn't be more effective in the end, but I can see why the other big N might not see it that way.

Nokia at E3 - loads of glitz, disappointing crowds?

Interesting post over at Engadget Mobile with loads of pictures of upcoming smartphones, running N-Gage games, along with the glamour of Nokia's huge booth at the E3 games event. Apparently visitors were hard to come by, though.

Read on in the full article.
