Well, I really don't seem to be having much luck with my new E75...first the N-Gage wasn't working, then I discovered dust under the screen and this morning....

I work up and my phone was caught in a continual loop of trying to load the homescreen. It's impossible to do anything with it because it keeps going back to the homesceen and trying to load it. Have switched off, removed battery etc. but nothing fixes it.

Can anyone suggest how I can do a soft and/or a hard reset of the E75?

Thanks!

(NOT very impressed with Nokia's latest so far!)

Typical. Every Nokia I had and bought on the first days came with firmware that I'd call "beta" at best. I work at software quality assurance and there's no doubt that Nokia must be under great pressure to release the handsets really fast.

My latest Nokias all sucked bigtime during the first months but eventually got to be really great untis after several firmware upgrades.

I'm going to buy the E55 but it's a sad sad fact that I'm almost sure the same will happen... I'll pay for beta firmware.

:) Maybe , in your case , you want to buy a device with matured software ? So don't go for the newest ones , with possible bugs and fixes . What about a good "old" one like E71 , E90 , N82 ? With the latest mature proven software and already low priced ?

yeah, thats part of the pains of being an early adopter... you get the new firmware that flops sometimes...
