View Full Version : Nokia quietly bury the N73 & N93 from it's compatible devices list.

After a year sitting waiting and it looks like Nokia have finally done the deed, in the cover of darkness they put the N73, N93/N93i's to rest from their 12 month long "support coming soon!" status.

Where did they bury them, nobody knows(apart from Nokia), it's almost as if they were never on the list in the first place, no mention, no statement, no trace. Shame Nokia didn't have the guts to at least give us a statement after being left in the dark for so long.

Ah well, at least we can finally put that chapter to rest and accept that my beloved N93 will never see NGage adorning its screen.

Mind you, they really should alter the NGage devices subforum as it still quotes......

N-Gage Enabled Devices Forum
Discussions related to the various next generation N-Gage Enabled Devices (n73, n81, n93, and n95).

Anyway, just thought I'd share the news for those that haven't noticed their phones dropped from the list.

Sorry I missed your post!

Nokia did give a statement a couple of days after you posted: that's it, it's official, no N-Gage on N93. Sorry.

As you know I have an N93 tucked away in the cupboard and IMHO it's got the most gaming-friendly layout of any phone. It's a real shame it won't be part of the platform.

However, there is a silver lining, because it's possible that the upcoming Ovi Store client will be made available on the N93. That would provide something somewhat similar to N-Gage, an on-phone download shop for content including games.

Ovi Store is launching in May, so we should soon find out which phones it will be on.
