Normally the Nokia lifetimer is in the format X:Y, where X is number of hours and Y is number of minutes

The normal 00:00 - hrs:mins doesn't apply in the lifetimer. For every 1 minute of call time the lifetimer increases by 1 hour.

I've talked on my new N96 for 10 minutes. The lifetimer shows I've talked for 40 hours

Can other's verify this on their respective phones.

Those in the know - Please explain why?

This matter is of huge concern to me because if I ever go to re sell the phone, the use reading is 240 times what it actually is. Imagine selling a car with 10,000 miles but showing 2.4 million miles on the clock

Does the number of minutes the phone has been active in call make the slightly bit of difference? wether its made 4 hours of 400 hours as long as it works and its in good nick its irrelevant.
