View Full Version : Recorded video audio garbled?

When I record a video, the audio is garbled when played on the phone or my PC (KMPlayer).

Obviously this isn't normal, but is there a way to fix it? The sound recorder records sound fine, so the microphone works fine. Also, the speakers play MP3s fine, so they're ok too. Sounds like a software issue.

EDIT: Upon playing around more, it seems sometimes the video audio works fine and the sound recorder records garbled at times. It now appears to either be a hardware issue, or a device-wide software problem.

Hello Guys,

I'm from Brazil, and recently I bought a Samsung i8510 Innov8 8gb, with Symbian 9.3.
My firmware is "Software version I8510XXHH7"

I did some videos with my cellphone, and the sound quality of the videos is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!

Video made by me, with my Innov8: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=tb2gtt0K3Y8

Someone knows how can I resolve it?
I'm so sad with it.
I loved this cellphone, but it is making me down.

Sorry for my poor english.
Thank you for your attention

Sorry to say, but the audio of my clips are perfect. How is the audio when you´re filming something still? This garbled thing happens only on the move? That motorcycle made you eat some sand, hum?

Even when still. I'll find a way to show you an example soon.

When I record some videos with low noise, the sound is good.
But when I record with a lot of noise, a car engine sound an example, the sound of the video stays poor! :(

I received the phone a few days ago and since than I tried a few time record the video. It does not matter if the resolutions is high or low. The same occurs, the horrible noise in the background that mute everythig else. When recorded in any normal condition you cannot understand what people are talking. When recorded in quiet room the annoying high pitch noise is in the video background.

If you have firmware version HH7, you can probably upgrade to HH9 at a service centre. Or you can wait if Samsung indeed releases NSU-like solution, where you can upgrade yourself, like our well-informed and ever helpful moderator said today.

Thank you Jules!

But, upgrade the firmware by myself can be dangerous, no?
I'm newba with Samsung phones and their updates. :icon13:

You can find a local service center on the samsung website.

Btw, I have version HH9, and the sound is out of sync with the picture =( So filming is a no-go for me atm. I'm waiting on new firmware to fix that.

I just hope that Samsung knows that the Innov8's users are having this problem with the movie recorder :P

So, I'll wait for a official firmware update by Samsung.
