Hi all,

I have just tried to accsess my dictionary and get the following message: Unable to run PowerDic. Dictionary databases should be installed ( #09)

What could the problem be. Any suggestions? If the database is infact not installed, is it possible to reinstall the original application from somewhere.

Try installing Y-Browser and looking around in Z:\system\install\ maybe the install file is there.

Thanks for the reply.

I did as you said, but I cannot find any application that looks like the Power dictionary. Any other suggestions? What would the .sis be called?

This happens when you are connected via mass storage mode to your PC. Disconnect or change to PC studio mode and you should have no problems...

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem. I have changed the phone to PC Studio, but get the following message when trying to accsess the dictionary:" Unable to run Powerdic. Dictionary databases should be installed.(#09)"

Can you or anyone else suggest another solution?

Thanks again.

I get the same message about the dictionary. I was stupid enough to delete the files because I thought it was through an application I downloaded and not the dictionary. Now I don't have it and the dictionary won't load!

However, I know you can download it again through: http://www.diotek.co.kr/eng/download/download_powerdic_s60_trial.asp

But the signup isn't working and you may have to pay. Can anyone copy the files by any chance?

hi all, i idioticoally deleted all my powerdic files as it seems some of u have. I see no luck so far. I was wondering if anyone knew how, if i could, use my partners powerdic files and copy them to my phone using the computer as we have the same phone. Only had the thing 2 weeks still trying to work it all out. Thanks.

Hi Bongoi8510,

I did exactly what you did a couple of months ago. Infact I was the first person to post and try and seek help on the forum, but no luck. I don't have access to another phone. I was wondering whether you would be able to send me the neccesary files via email. I've really tried everything and even went as far as purchasing the dictionary from Diotek directly, but are unable to download it from there site and haven't been able to get an answer from Diotek in english, evrything is in Korean.

I would really appreciate it.
