After I connect my E71 to a WLAN network, and clicked on the connection, there's an option to 'Start web browsing', 'search for WLAN' and 'Switch WLAN scan off'. I understand to choose the Start web browsing to browse the web.

But can I use the WLAN connection to retrieve emails that I setup on my phone? I can't find a way to do this, or is it automatically uses the WLAN when I'm connected to it?

I don't know, but I think it's using whatever connection you told the email client to use

One way to test it is to kill your data connections (press and hold the red key), then connect to your WLAN, then retrieve your emails.

If you don't get a pop-up saying "Connecting with <your-connection-name>" then it's using your WLAN.

There is an app by Psiloc called "Connector" (or something like that) which can handle connection selection for you, but it's commercial
