Just received the Nokia e71 US version, and I love the phone. But I noticed whenever I switch profiles (I.E. switching from Normal to Silent) that the date in the corner of the screen goes away. Is there anyway to have the date show in the place of profile name?

Unfortunatly you cant.
But there is an application called "Free Time Box" where you can see the Time in any menu you want (you can customize its color,font,position and appear in any menu you want and with many option available)..
but am not sure if its free or not.
